- Costume nationale
- Founded in 1987, by Italian designer Ennio Capasa and his brother, Carlo, Costume Nationale's name was derived from an antique book about French uniforms. Capasa was a protégé of Yohji Yamamoto in the 1980s. The Milan based ready-to-wear sportswear company is known for its slim tailoring and attention to detail. Costume Nationale has retail stores in New York, California, Italy, Japan, and China and has accessories and mens-wear lines. In 2000, a designer label was added, Costume Nationale Luxe. Capasa regards this line as his way to branch out in the luxury market.
